Forskningsområden

Jag forskar om frågor som rör hållbar utveckling i tjänstesamhället. Jag skriver om hur sociala och ekonomiska aspekter av hållbarhet relaterar till varandra, hur tjänster för hållbarhet kan utformas, hur lokala ekonomier kan utvecklas och hur forskning och politisk förändring kan samverka.

Jag och de kollegor jag arbetar med rör oss i olika världar som alla har det gemensamt att de är inbäddade i en politisk diskurs om hållbar utveckling genom ekonomisk tillväxt: småskaligt fiske, avfallshantering och landsbygdsutveckling. Vi vill diskutera alternativ till den ekonomiska logiken för att värdera den hållbara utvecklingens olika dimensioner.

Research areas

I investigate issues of sustainable development in service socities. I write about how social and economic aspects of sustainability relate to each other, how services for sustainability can be conceptualised, how local economies can be developed and how research and political change can benefit from each other.

Me and the colleagues I work with move through different worlds whose common denominator is that they are embedded in a political discourse of sustainable development through economic growth: small-scale fisheries, waste management and rural development. We want to discuss alternatives to the economic logic of valuating the different dimensions of sustainable development.
