Leadership in Service Organisations
This course provides insights into the different dimensions, situations and problems of leadership. The aim is to give specialised understanding of the specific conditions of service organisations, such as close customer contacts and focus on service meetings, and how these conditions affect leadership. Furthermore, you will be familiarised with approaches and tools to develop your own role as a targeted, accountable and reflective leader.
In the course, situations and problems from different themes are discussed and analysed. The main focus is to give an insight into organisational structures, external and internal efficiency, environments, group processes, motivation, leadership and personal development. Through situation-based learning and practical examples, you will understand the consequences of different theoretical approaches in practice.

The start of the course 2018:
The course runs during the second half of the Autumn semester 2018. KSMC52 is an obligatory course within the fifth semester of the Bachelor program in Service Management, which means there will be both exchange students and Swedish students in the class.
The introduction is November 5th at 13.00 - 15.00 in lecture hall U202, Campus Helsingborg.
The preliminary schedule will be available approximately one month before the course starts.
