Filippa Säwe

Filippa Säwe has her PhD in Sociology from Lund University. She has developed the concept of transdisciplinarity within sustainability science by qualitative methods and analyzed the connection between the micro-level of social interaction and the macro-level of societal change in an ongoing multi-disciplinary project about small-scale coastal fisheries. The social construction of markets and sustainability has been of special interest focusing on policy making and coexisting values.

She is also project manager for the Leader project “A sustainable fishing in the Sound” (2017-2019) funded by the ESSF and since 2012 Chairman for “Öresundsfiskarna”, a Swedish-Danish fisheries organization and co-founder and organizer of Östersjöfiske2020 (2015- 2020), an annual national conference for fisheries stakeholders.

She has also conducted research in issues of communication and communicative practices in a project about city renewal strategies.
