Organization, Leadership and Service work
The research topic Organization, Leadership and Service work includes research on a number of key issues related to work in service industries. We research the phenomena of organization, governance and leadership from a service perspective. The research area includes, but is not limited to, issues of organizational change, quality, lean, value creation, organizational efficiency, human resource management, leadership, conditions and experiences of service work, professional service organizations, and stories in and around organizations.
These topics are approached from different angles and in different contexts based on multi- and interdisciplinary perspectives that include theories and methods derived from, for example, business economics, sociology and ethnology.
The main purpose of the research is to develop and deepen the understanding of these phenomena. We develop methods, theories and working methods in the field of service organization by analyzing, problematizing and critically reflecting on the practices and theories found in and about these areas.
